Psalm 55 has a twist that makes it rather unique. The enemy from whom David seeks deliverance is one who was a peer, a companion, a good friend (v13) and someone with whom he had enjoyed close fellowship in the house of God (v14). The twist in this pslam is the knife in the back. David has been betrayed by someone close. He finds that even harder to deal with (v12). So do we usually. But the Lord is faithful and He's the one to turn to. This is what David does, and it's a good example to follow.
